The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the small restaurant. The service was excellent. The menu had a wide choice to suit all tastes including a wide range of Indian dishes. The food was excellent. Breakfast was served in a bright conservatory and the sevice and food were excellent.
The carpets were looking a bit tired. Overall the hotel looked a bit dark.
The staff were fantastic. Very attentive and made sure everything was ok. They gave us a free upgrade to their large 'Elizabeth Room' which was fantastic. Definitely recommend and will be back next time we are in the area.
Would never never ever stay here again all rooms including dinning room were dirty we had lots of hairs and dirt (not dust) Dirt in the bathroom and you don't even want to know what colour the Toilet brush was , disgusting... ! Bathroom doors very stained ! Wine stains on small dirty table in the room , kettle steam directly underneath the tv, I didn't even shower as it was so dirty. The milk jug at Breakfast was half filled with milk and at the top of the jug all around was what looked like cream as it hadn't been cleaned for ages.I Did complain at the end of our stay, and offered to show the man my findings which he declined, we were offered a bottle of wine which I declined just couldnt wait to get out of there. Dirty horrid hotel never stayed anywhere that dirty before and would never stay there again.
We picked Olivers Lodge for the closeness to our family, who we were visiting. It is in a good location. Close to the town centre of St. Ives, and very easy for anyone wanting to visit Cambridge. The staff were all very nice. We had a lovely meal at the hotel on our first evening.
Very good and attentive staff. Free wi-fi service. Short walk into the market town of St Ives. Quiet location and comfortable room. Able to park car within a few metres of the bedroom - useful when carrying baggage, laptop, etc
We were welcomed and shown to our room, which was a very nice room. At breakfast in the morning we were served by a very attentive gentleman and the food was excellent. If we had not been going out to a function we would definitelyh have eaten our evening meal there.
Convenient for town centre without paying town centre prices. Friendly staff.
Bathroom generally in very poor condition and no hot water to wash basin.
Friendly, helpful staff, good food, fairly priced
Staff exceptional Food in evening in the restaurant 5*
Very friendly staff and nice room. Excellent location, only a 5 10 minute walk into St Ives.
No WI-FI connection in the room. I had to go to the bar to check my emails.
Well maintained, friendly, fuctional
Drinks very expensive Could do with a cheaper bar menu
We had a very nice evening & the food was of a very high standard.
Friendly staff Good service Good breakfast selection Professional
Really appreciated the extended hours as I was travelling from the North East during bad weather. When I called the Hotel to say the a1(m) had been closed and I was being diverted, I was really pleased to hear the Manager say he would be around until midnight !! All the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, the room was just what I needed (a clean & affordable bed for the night) and the location was close enought to Cambrige to get me to my meeting on time next day.
Poor room not clean no whify even though it was stated.Television un seeable cold bed and badly made.Breakfast disgusting
